Hobart Dishwasher Retired After 55 Years Service

Obviously everyone in the catering industry is aware of Hobart’s excellent reputation for build quality and longevity but no-one would have guessed that one of their early pass through machines would last an astounding 55 years!

The warewasher was installed at Tendring College in Essex when the college opened in 1959 and has been lovingly maintained and serviced over its lifetime by the colleges maintenance team, this should count as a lesson to all catering sites that with a regular service and maintenance plan you can add years to the lifespan of your warewashers.

Obviously after receiving such reliable service for so many years the college are staying loyal to the Hobart brand and will be replacing the machine with one of the latest Hobart hood machines.
